Women's March on Washington in KC

I don't normally get political. In my opinion, it just creates conflict among individuals and groups. I get it though, everyone goes through different experiences that lead to their beliefs. Who am I to judge when I don't know anything about your life.

But this time something was different for me. It wasn't that I felt the need to protest Donald Trump or anything like that, it was really all of the hate crimes I saw happening. And these made me worry about the well-being of my family. I don't think anything will really happen to them, but from what I've seen I think I have a reason to worry. On top of that though, there's a lot at stake now that's affecting a lot of people so I thought it was best to at least support in any way I can.

Which is what lead me to the Women's March on Washington here in Kansas City. It was more of a rally rather than an actual march, but I was absolutely stunned at the turnout. I hate to sound cliché but it really gave me hope. Everyone was so welcoming and felt so together, it was really cool to see. Plus I'd never been to something of this type until then so it was incredibly inspiring, you could really feel the passion. In fact, I'll stop rambling and get on to the photos.

All we can really do now is whatever we can for each other. We're all in this together.
